So, there's this boy.
He kinda stole my heart.
He calls me "Mom".

Twister

I love playing games with Landon and thankfully he likes them, too!  One of his favorites is Twister--it's not my favorite, but if it makes him happy I'm all for it! :)
We play with half of the Twister mat because a couple of years ago I dressed up as Twister for Halloween and used the other half of the mat as my dress.  Half the mat actually works well for Landon because it's small enough for him to reach all the circles.

He's always so sweet when we play games together.  When one of us loses the game he says, "Yay!  We're both winners!"  So sweet!
Mom and Dad came up this past weekend with the furniture for Landon's room and it's so boyish and perfect!  Landon loves it and it is definitely something he'll have for many years to come.  He's so blessed to have such wonderful grandparents that love him so much.  I'll take some pics and put them on here of his new room.

New Beginnings

Landon and I are enjoying this turn in life that has taken place.  Landon is enjoying his new room so much!  He runs in there each day when we get home and closes his door and tells me that he needs to rest!
He also made a few friends in just the few short days that we've been here.  He has really taken a liking to our down stairs neighbors.  He saw them sitting outside the other day and said, "Hey there!  I'm Landon and this is my mom, Header!"  So sweet!  I love how social he is.
He likes to sit on our balcony and look at people walking by.  He typically tells everyone, "Hey there!"  I love it and the smiles that he gets from strangers.
We are just above the dog park, and Landon has already made a doggie friend.  Here he is looking at his friend, Bailey.  Bailey is a yellow lab that he's seen and played with a couple of times already.
This silly boy brings me so much happiness.
I see lots of fun times and sweet memories ahead of us this summer as we adjust to our new normal.
He can't wait to get in the swimming pool at our complex.  I'm sure we will be there daily this summer!  :)

Goose Egg

Landon's poor little forehead takes such a beating!  It seems as though he always has a bruise to accompany the scar that he got on his forehead on our cruise at Christmas.
This bump happened when he was running from his sandbox to the trampoline.  While he was running he tripped and his forehead hit the metal edge of the trampoline.
We put ice on it and he cried for just a few minutes.  Pretty soon he was back to his silly self.
I think getting stitches on his forehead traumatized him because now every time he gets hurt he always says, "I'm okay.  I don't need to go to the doctor."
He's still a cutie even with his goose egg!  I took him to get a hair cut the day after this happened and he told the girl cutting his hair to watch out for his goose egg!  I thought that was too funny!  He is Mr. Chatty when we are out in public and I love it!  It's so cute!

Easter Part 3

Landon and I dyed eggs and he was a silly mess the entire time.  Fortunately, we didn't have any huge spills! :)
Here's my proof that he was a mess!
I do have to admit that he may be the cutest little mess I've ever seen.
Easter morning, Landon woke up to find his basket filled with treats from the Easter Bunny.  His favorite treat was this little wind-up chick that hopped around.
He would hug it and say, "Awe, mommy....he's so cute!"  I love my tender hearted little boy!

Landon spent the day with his dad for Easter.  They went to visit Landon's great grandmother and on the way they stopped in a field of bluebonnets for a few pictures.
  Silly boy!

Easter Part 2

We took Landon to an egg hunt at our town park and he had the best time.  This year was so fun watching him hunt eggs because he actually was interested in getting more than one egg!

My handsome little guy and me.

 Landon and his dad.
 Let the hunting begin.

Landon played at the park for a little while after the egg hunt.

Such a cutie!  This little guy has every little piece of my heart.  Love him!

Easter Part 1

Each year my school has an Easter Egg Hunt for the teacher's kids.  It is always so fun to get to see everyone's little ones and how much they've changed since the last time we've seen them.  I'm so thankful that we have this special tradition.
 My handsome little man.

The whole group!  They are definitely a good looking group of kids.  :)
This was the first year that Landon was actually in a hurry to pick up eggs, so it was lots of fun to watch him run around.

I made him stop for a quick picture while he was hunting for eggs.
My dear friend, Melissa, and her beautiful little girl, Briley.
Such a sweet pair!

So proud!
